April 10, 2019

Asheville Outlets have joined forces with area nonprofits to host a Kids Day (And Then Some!) event on Saturday, April 13th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The event will feature live music, games, strolling magic, crafts, balloon art, face painting, interactive booths (come see me at the Macaroni Kid booth) and a variety of other family-focused events throughout the mall center and parking lot!

Kicking the event off Friday, April 12th the Buncombe County Sheriff's Deputies will be stationed around-the-clock on the rooftop of Asheville Outlets to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Trail Blaze Challenge, finishing up Sunday, April 14th.  The Sheriff's Department will feature hands-on activities for kids on Saturday.

Also taking place Saturday, a Summer Camp Expo, which will provide parents an opportunity to learn about the various camps offered in the area and plan ahead.

Spread throughout the outlet center will be the 10th Annual Asheville Book Fest, featuring 25+ local authors, where families can enjoy author meet and greets, presentations and book signings!

In the lot behind the food court local representatives and their vehicles from emergency, construction, transportation and more will be on-site for the 2nd Annual Truck City AVL event.  Children can touch, climb and ask questions about their favorite trucks and cars in a safe and supervised environment.

Also, make sure to walk over to the parking lot in front of Field & Stream for the 1st annual NC State Highway Patrol Safety Day and enjoy the vehicles on display from motorcycles to the famous GHOST (marked vehicle that cannot be detected until it is in close proximity)!

All Kids Day (And Then Some!) weekend events are complimentary and open to the public.
