Summer's not over, fall isn't here but apple season is upon us! We're talking fresh picked apples, apple cider, apple cider donuts, apple pies, oh my (and so much more)! Grab the family and head over to these local Orchards for some fresh produce and family fun!

Features: Apples are picked fresh daily and available in the barn and country store or head out to the Orchard and pick your own with over 20 varities to choose from! Make sure to stop by the bakery and grab some hot cider donuts, apple pies, apple cider slushies and so many other apple goodies to eat! Kids can enjoy the play area with a spider web climbing net, large plastic display animals to climb on and take fun pictures with, homemade swinging tube that sits multiple people (push back and forth). Then head over to the barnyard coral to see and feed a variety of farmyard animals!

Features: Come by the Roadside Market for fresh locally-grown seasonal fruits and vegetables, plus apple butter, jellies, jams, and preserves! Take a self-guided tour around the barnyard to observe farm animals in a working farm setting and enjoy some great photo opportunities!

Features: You can grab pre-picked apples or venture out in the Orchard and pick your own with over 15 apples available during the season - gala and gingergold are ripe for the pickin' now! Kids can enjoy the new farm playground and apple cannons! Don't forget to take a bounce on the large jumping pillow and stop by the pond to see ducks and visit the farm animals! Visit the Apple House for honey, jams, jellies, preserves and other homemade goodies and swing by the Bakery for their famous homemade Fried Apple Pies, Apple Cider Donuts, Apple Cider, Cider Slushies, Caramels, Apple Bread and more!

Location: located above Flat Rock, NC on Pinnacle Mountain Road, which is easily accessible from U.S. 225. - just watch for their big yellow Sky Top Orchard signs.
Hours: Open daily 9am - 6pm
Features: Enjoy panoramic mountain views, orchard ponds with ducks and geese, a barnyard area with sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, peacocks and more! A bamboo forest to explore, lots of picnic areas and, of course, a mountaintop of fragrant apple and fruit trees. In addition to the playhouses, big apple and pumpkin houses, swing sets and sandbox in the Playground and bee train, they've added a Fort this year. Hours: August 24th - October 31st Monday - Thursday 8am - 5:30pm, Friday and Saturday 8am - 6pm and Sunday 10am - 6pm.
Features: Stroll through the 38-acre orchard and pick your own NC apples from 21 apple varieties. Navigate the challenging 5-acre corn maze and shoot apples at targets with an apple cannon (weekends only). Walk the educational nature trail. Chat with Farmer Stepp and meet three generations of the Stepp family! View farm machinery and capture family memories! Don't forget to stop by the country store to grab a donut and apple cider!
