Holiday season is upon us and I don't know about you but I've been brainstorming gift ideas since last week! Make this holiday season extra special by making something for the one's you love! Don't have the skills, we've got you covered with a list of workshops where you can learn how to make hand-crafted gifts from ornaments and treasure boxes to blankets and wooden items for your home! If you're not quite ready or can't make any of the workshops, you can head to various local fairs, also listed below, to find the perfect gift crafted by a local artist!

Make Tiny Treasure Boxes, Brevard
Details: Using a variety of mixed media materials and techniques, create a personal place to store tiny treasures. Build in special messages into the box itself, then fill it with trinkets, notes, jewelry, and so much more!

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Workshop, Tryon
Details: Craft an original Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer out of wood. Get your bearings, or further your carving skills, under the guidance of Karl Schwartz. Karl will go over how we plan and bring to life 3-dimensional designs of animals. He will also cover safe practices, particularly on the band saw and Dremel. Students will make a raw-wood carving, which they may later paint at home.
Tools and materials will be provided. However, students are encouraged to bring a Dremel tool if they own one.
Skill Level: Beginner and Up; The group size is small so that you will have ample space and ample one-on-one time with the instructor.
